Because of his natural curiosity, Mike was attracted to the mortgage industry after going through the process of purchasing a home himself. Although the industry can be quite confusing, it fit him like a glove. He felt a strong desire to help people purchase their own home and is passionate about providing home buyers education and guidance throughout the loan process. Understanding that a mortgage is the largest loan that anyone will ever obtain, Mike takes pride in being not only trustworthy, but also compassionate and understanding to each person’s situation. Never taking a simple no for an answer, Mike strives to find a way through obstacles to help his clients obtain their goals, whether that is a purchase or refinance transaction. He also thinks out of the box to find creative solutions to complex situations.
Mike retired from the Marine Corps in 2013 where he was combat deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Since retirement, Mike has been involved with many veterans’ organizations such as Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and Wounded Warrior Project. He holds a special place in his heart for veterans and has become very familiar with VA loans to which he receives great satisfaction working with fellow veterans to aid them in the purchase or refinance of their home.
Mike is a Christian first and holds his love of Jesus very dear to him. With his serving heart he volunteers his time within the church performing audio-visual support and worship. He also volunteers his time to Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office as an Auxiliary Police Officer.
Mike is married with nine children ranging in age from two to thirty. As a constant learner, Mike received his Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Management and a Master’s degree in Information Systems with a concentration of Information Assurance. In his spare time, Mike enjoys spending time with his family, playing bass guitar, and singing karaoke.
